<p><b>Neue Seite</b></p><div>Die Hypertext Markup Language ''(engl. für Hypertext-Auszeichnungssprache)'', abgekürzt HTML, ist eine textbasierte Auszeichnungssprache zur Strukturierung digitaler Dokumente wie Texte mit Hyperlinks, Bildern und anderen Inhalten.<br />
Aktueller Standart ist HTML 5<br />
<ref group="FN">SGML Generalized Markup Language (SGML; engl. „Normierte Verallgemeinerte Auszeichnungssprache“) sollte durch XML Standart ersetzt werden, was eine "Verschlankung" des HTML Codes (Tendenz bis HTML 4.01) erreicht wurde und ab diesen Zeitpunkt war "normativen" HTML Synthax in XHTML Standart zu überführen. HTML basiert jedoch auf SGML Standart.</ref><br />
